Erin Meise has a broad range of experience coaching swimming. She has taught swim lessons, coached summer league teams, USA teams and a UIL 4A and 5A high school swim team. She swam for her high schools, as well as a USA year-round team and then went on to swim in college, eventually helping start the NCAA team at Southwestern University. She is a certified math teacher and is currently substituting for NEISD. Erin loves to share her love of swimming with others.
Erin moved to San Antonio four years ago with her husband and two kids, who keep her very busy. When she isn’t swimming or coaching, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and being outside with her family.
She is excited to return for her third season coaching the Riptide Swim Team. She looks forward to enjoying a fun, positive and rewarding season with the team. Go Riptide!
Judy was the Aquatics Director at the Corpus Christi Country Club from 2000-2004 and 2009-2014. She has taught a variety of classes including water aerobics, swimming lessons, lifeguarding courses, water safety instructor courses, and of course, swim team. She is excited to be here for her 3rd year as an assistant coach at the YMCA and looks forward to meeting each of you and your children as you all enjoy the action packed summer together.
Jackson Grosskopf grew up swimming for the Riptide swim team, but this will be his third year as an assistant coach. Jackson was a part of his 5A high school swim team, as well as his local club swim team through Alamo Area Aquatics. He wishes to positively impact young swimmers this summer, enhancing their experience with the sport as much as possible. Attending Texas Christian University, Jackson is a kinesiology major and business minor, ultimately hoping to be a doctor of physical therapy, specializing in pediatric patients with cerebral palsy.
Chloe started swimming in the third grade on the Riptide swim team. Growing up she continued swimming for the San Antonio Wave, Alamo Area Aquatics Association (AAAA), Claudia Taylor Lady Bird Johnson High School, & Ronald Reagan High School as a 6A swimmer. She has experience as a lifeguard, swim instructor, & working with kids at the YMCA. Chloe will attend the University of Incarnate Word this Fall of 2018 as a freshman, majoring in her dream career of Interior Design & getting her Masters Business Administration (MBA)! Chloe can’t wait for this swim season to begin so she can start working with your kids and sharing her expertise & knowledge of swimming!
Cristán is a Junior at Lee High School/STEM Academy. He has been swimming for Riptide since he was eight years old and continues to swim for Lee H.S. Cristán is an honor student and is a member of the National Honors Society. He is a Boy Scout working on his Eagle Scout Project and has earned the Presidential Volunteer Service Award every year since middle school. Cristán loves to work with our younger swimmers and is excited to join the Riptide coaching team.
